Oolite Earrings

$110.00

These earrings are cut from oolitic agate from the country south of Burns, Oregon. Oolites are beads of limestone formed in the shallow waves of a mineral-saturated, long-gone lake. Over time the oolites have been surrounded by microcrystalline silica, and are thus now encased in it, a stuff we typically call agate.

The stones are 28mm wide and hang 38mm on hammered 14k gold-fill wire. The earrings weigh 3 grams each.

All items are shipped USPS First Class Mail within the USA and USPS First Class International shipping for orders outside the USA.
